The Bassano solar project will generate 14.6 Mega Watts (MW) Alternating Current (AC) of energy and take up a fenced area of approximately 115 acres.
The project will connect to the electrical grid via and consist of 30,264 Longi LR5-72HBD 545M, 545 wp bifacial photovoltaic solar panels on single axis trackers and 4 SMA MVPS 650 inverters.
The site will generate enough energy to power approximately 2,768 typical Albertan households, save 14,495 tonnes of carbon annually, and 377,305 tonnes over the initial 30 year lifetime of the Project.
PACE believes the proposed development is in keeping with the character of the area and makes a vital contribution to addressing the climate emergency. It will also help to mitigate soaring energy costs, increase local biodiversity while supporting Alberta’s rural economies.
